I teach: Modo, Yin, L2
Why I love teaching: Teaching has shown me so many sides of myself and of others that I did not expect but would never trade for anything. The feeling of breathing and being vulnerable with so many other humans is something else. If I can help to remind someone to just BREATHE and slow down, in this rat race- that’s really what it’s about for me. To learn more and more about ourselves through the practice as it changes, as we show up in different versions with acceptance – that is so powerful.
When I’m not on my mat, you can find me: In nature with my dog, or in the kitchen!
What I love about Modo: I love that Modo is accessible, I love that it’s consistent and, at the same time, allows teachers to have their own personality in the sequence. It means a lot to me to know Modo is built on six pillars that have purpose behind them.
If I could tell first-timers one thing, it would be: Every single person – including you – in that room is *approximately* 65% water, and every day is different in this practice. Stick with your breath and you’ll be just fine 🙂
